Water is an indispensable resource in ICBP’s production process, as it is used for steam generation, cooling and sterilizing. Thus, we monitor and measure our water use. Various water efficiency initiatives have been implemented, including the use of a clean-in-place system to wash the interior of equipment, and the use of steam condensate as boiler feed water. Our units also practice rainwater harvesting for domestic use, and have installed bio-pores and infiltration wells to increase ground water absorption capacity.
